Transitions relies on individual and corporate sponsors, along with Federal, State and private-sector grants for financial support in providing vital services to victims of crime. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, so your contributions are tax deductible*. Transitions also gratefully accepts donations of new or clean, gently used clothing and other necessities for the families who seek shelter with us. Transitions also hosts periodic fundraisers, including an annual Transitions Auction, in which local artisans, business owners and friends of the agency donate artwork, merchandise and services to be auctioned off on the agency's behalf. Transitions also has an ongoing need for volunteers to help staff the hotline, co-facilitate groups, provide options counseling and assist with general office and shelter management duties. Volunteers receive extensive training from our staff and have an opportunity to share their experiences and skills with survivors of domestic violence and other serious crimes.
